Senior Cost Accountant

Responsible for the financial reporting, maintenance, account reconciliation and analysis of the general maintenance and documentation of internal accounting controls, including month- end closing accounts.
Collect, analyze and report on data.
Analyze financial reports and records, making studies or recommendations relative to the accounting of assigned areas.
Utilize computer to input, retrieve or display accounting information.
Assist with the preparation of year- end closings. Assist in the preparation of working papers for audits.
Be a Cost Accountant and perform Cost Accountant duties.
Be responsible for preparing monthly and annual consolidated statements.
Audit, review and verify accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various reports.
Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions.
Conduct special studies and develop or recommend accounting methods and procedures.
Maintain and manage inventory accuracy.

Good auditing skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational and attention to detail skills.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is essential.
Good math and analytical skills.
Good typing and data entry skills.
Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of accounting to include general ledger.
Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and function specific software.
3- 5 years accounting or related experience.
Bachelor’s degree.
