Sea export supervisor

Purpose of the Role

Manage shipments effectively and provide operational solutions when issues arise.
Propose and implement system improvements, including software enhancements (eFMS, Vela, etc.) and data integration solutions.
Act as the key coordinator between customers, sales, carriers, and internal teams to ensure service quality and resolve issues throughout the shipment lifecycle.
Oversee the end- to- end sea export process, from receiving orders and booking with carriers to cargo arrival at destination, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on- time execution.

Key Responsibilities & KPIs
Performance (40%)

Respond quickly and accurately to all requests.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting, documentation, bookings, and eFMS updates.
Keep up with new technologies to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce errors.
Improve and optimize operational systems (eFMS, Vela, etc.).
Handle problems proactively and independently.

Customer Satisfaction (15%)

Provide professional, prompt, and attentive customer service.
Maintain commitments and ensure positive customer experiences.
Communicate clearly with customers using accurate and transparent information.

Operational Excellence (15%)

Apply new technologies to optimize work processes and minimize errors.
Ensure strict compliance with SOPs and error- free operations.
Maintain complete, clear, and easy- to- retrieve shipment information.
Monitor and update shipment status accurately.

People & Teamwork (10%)

Comply with company policies and procedures.
Commit to continuous learning and self- development
Demonstrate strong communication skills with Sales and Customers.
Work effectively with team members and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
Fluent in English (all 4 skills).
Strong computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
3–4 years of experience in a similar role within a freight forwarding company.
Detail- oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem- solving skills.
