ROLE PURPOSE

As a strategic leader, the HRD will collaborate with executive management, shareholders, and the board of directors to articulate HR needs and plans, with the following responsibilities:

Oversee administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Play a key role in ensuring ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles and sustainable practices are integrated into the company&039;s operations.
Develop and execute a comprehensive human resource strategy that aligns with the organization&039;s overall business plan and strategic direction.
Oversee HR function&039; across all six countries, ensuring effective succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation practices.

The HRD will directly lead HR managers, ESG officers, and administrative staff at the Head Office (Gene Solutions in Vietnam) together with HR/ESG/Admin specialists in each SEA country, and will have indirect responsibility for all employees within the region.

Key Accountabilities

Develop and implement competitive and cost- effective compensation and benefits programs across the region.
Provide strategic guidance to the executive/senior management of each country and business unit on organizational and management issues.
Develop and implement a cohesive HR strategy that supports the company&039;s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
Design and execute comprehensive recruiting, talent acquisition, and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of the organization.
Oversee administrative functions, including facilities management, office operations, vendor management, procurement, and travel arrangements.
Governance and Ethics: Promote a culture of strong governance and ethical behavior throughout the organization by ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and corporate governance best practices.
Provide guidance and support to HR managers and administrative staff in resolving complex employee relations and administrative issues
Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive organizational culture across the region.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging HR technologies to continuously enhance HR, ESG, and administrative practices and processes.
HR and ESG Benchmarking and Best Practices: Stay informed about HR and ESG trends, benchmarks, and best practices and provide guidance and recommendations to senior management on areas for improvement and innovation.
Social Responsibility: Lead and oversee the development and execution of social responsibility programs, including community engagement, employee volunteerism, and diversity and inclusion initiatives
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations in all countries of operation
Collaborate with the executive management team to establish a robust plan for management succession aligned with the company&039;s strategy and objectives.
Environmental Sustainability: Collaborate with cross- functional teams to develop and implement environmentally sustainable practices
Lead and oversee talent acquisition, leadership development, career development, succession planning, retention, training, and compensation and benefits practices globally.
ESG and Sustainable Practice Compliance: Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to ensure the company&039;s compliance with ESG principles and sustainable practices across all operations and countries of operation
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, customers, and industry partners, to communicate the company&039;s ESG commitments, initiatives, and progress.
ESG Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to increase employee awareness and understanding of ESG principles, sustainable practices, and their role in achieving the company&039;s ESG goals.
ESG Reporting and Transparency: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to collect and analyze ESG- related data, prepare reports, and ensure accurate and timely disclosure of ES information to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Requirements

Demonstrated success in rebuilding HR practices, group HR management, upskilling HR departments, building organizational culture, and optimizing human resource ROI.
Empathy and emotional self- regulation, resilience, kindness and compassion, and mindfulness develop transformative leadership.
Collaboration and influencing skills to work cross- functionally and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive ESG integration and compliance.
Have proven coaching, leadership, and supervisory experience.
Strong administrative skills, including facilities management, vendor management, and procurement.
Preferred certification: SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM- SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM- CP)
Extensive knowledge of employment- related laws and regulations in multiple countries.
Ability to effectively communicate ESG- related information to diverse internal and external stakeholders through various communication channels.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least five years of executive- level HR experience.
Proficient in interpersonal, analytical, organizational, time management skills, and problem- solving.
A bachelor&039;s Degree from an accredited college and an MBA/ Master&039;s Degree in Human Resources or a related field are preferred.
Demonstrated success in integrating ESG principles, driving sustainable practices, and embedding responsible business behaviors within an organization.
Ability to develop and implement ES strategies and initiatives, driving change and fostering a sustainable and socially responsible organizational culture.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast- paced environment.
Strong understanding of environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and corporate governance concepts and their integration into HR practices and policies.
Familiarity with various human resource information systems and ESG metrics and reporting requirements, as well as experience in preparing ESG reports or disclosures.
Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Passion for fairness, sustainability, social responsibility, and ethical business practices, with a commitment to driving positive impact.
Innovative, smart- working, excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
