Head Of Ocean Freight / Freight Forwarding (Logistics)

Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, documentation requirements, Incoterms, and maritime laws.
Prepare and submit regular reports on Ocean Freight performance, volume, and service quality to Management.
Negotiate and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, NVOCCs, agents, and logistics partners to optimize cost and capacity.
Track and analyze operational KPIs and propose improvement initiatives.
Lead, train, and develop the Ocean Freight team.
Monitor and control operational costs and P&L performance of the Ocean Freight business.
Manage and oversee all Ocean Freight operations (FCL/LCL) to ensure shipments are handled efficiently, on time, and in compliance with company standards.
Handle operational issues such as delays, rollovers, damages, claims, and customer complaints, providing timely and effective solutions.
Coordinate closely with overseas offices and international agents to ensure seamless end- to- end service.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve Ocean Freight operational processes to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
Work closely with Sales and Pricing teams to support rate quotations, solution design, and service implementation for customers.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Economics, Maritime Studies, or related fields.
Strong knowledge of FCL/LCL operations, ocean freight procedures, documentation, customs processes, and Incoterms.
Proven leadership, problem- solving, and cross- functional coordination skills.
5+ years of experience in Ocean Freight / Freight Forwarding, with management experience preferred.
Hands- on experience working with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and overseas agents.
