Head of Data Azure, Data Engineer, Data Analysis, ETL

Role Summary
The Head of Data will be responsible for establishing and leading the company’s data strategy, governance, and analytics capabilities. This role will drive the transformation of our data assets into strategic business value by building a high- performing Data team, overseeing enterprise- wide data initiatives, and ensuring data architecture and analytics are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership

Build and lead a cross- functional Data team (data engineering, data analytics, data governance, and data science).
Define and lead the enterprise data strategy aligned with business and digital transformation goals.
Drive the adoption of data as a strategic asset across the organization, supporting functions such as Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Experience.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to prioritize data initiatives and ensure ROI- driven execution.
Define and lead the Data Governance practice to ensure the good management and handling of the data & digital assets across the organization.

Data Platform & Engineering

Oversee the design, development, and optimization of the Enterprise Data Platform on Microsoft Azure and other cloud computing platforms
Lead integration efforts with internal systems & platforms like ERP, POS, eCommerce (Web/App), CDP... and external data sources using ESB/API middleware.
Ensure data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses are scalable, reliable, and performance- optimized.

Analytics & Insights

Drive advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and AI/ML projects where applicable.
Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable insights to business users.
Establish self- service BI and reporting infrastructure and promote data democratization across departments.

Data Governance & Quality

Ensure compliance with local and international data privacy regulations (e.g., Vietnam PDPA, GDPR where applicable).
Implement enterprise- wide data governance, data cataloging, and data quality management frameworks.
Define and monitor data KPIs, data usage policies, and security standards.

Team Development & Management

Recruit, mentor, and retain a world- class Data team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
Set team OKRs/KPIs aligned with company goals.

Yêu cầu công việc

Must- Have

10+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, analytics, or related fields.
Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data integration best practices.
Proven experience building and operating large- scale Azure- based data infrastructure and Databricks platforms is preferrable
Experience leading implementation of enterprise data platforms, ERP data integration, and CDP analytics.
5+ years in leadership or head- of- function roles in medium- to- large enterprises, preferably in Retail or F&B sectors.

Nice- to- Have

Previous exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, and API middleware tools.
Familiarity with customer loyalty, footfall analytics, or supply chain optimization use cases.

Soft Skills

Strong business acumen and ability to communicate data concepts in business terms.
Hands- on, execution- oriented mindset with strategic thinking capabilities.
Visionary leadership with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
