Role Description
The Group Head of IT & Security is responsible for leading and delivering the Group’s IT strategy in alignment with business objectives and approved OKRs. The role ensures that IT operates as a secure, process- driven, and scalable function, enabling business performance through:
• Structured service operations and measurable service quality
• Oversight of data infrastructure and analytics enablement
• Cost- efficient and well- controlled IT investments
• Robust IT governance and security (ISIOP)
• Software and identity governance (SSO, RBAC)
• Cloud and infrastructure resilience
The Group IT Manager acts as the primary custodian of the Group’s technology foundation, ensuring security, reliability, scalability, and operational discipline.
Key responsibilities
IT Governance & Security Leadership
• Oversee identity and access management standards (Azure Entra ID, RBAC, SSO).
• Establish clear governance, ownership, and control mechanisms for IT security, operations, and risk management.
• Drive Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) design and readiness.
• Design, implement, and maintain the Group&039;s Information Security & IT Operations Policy (ISIOP) framework.
• Lead periodic risk assessments and ensure mitigation actions are defined and executed.
• Ensure audit readiness and proper evidence management for IT controls.
IT Service Operations & Performance Management
• Drive continuous service improvement initiatives based on data and feedback.
• Define and monitor IT service KPIs (e.g., MTTR, SLA compliance, FCR, CSAT).
• Deploy and maintain IT performance dashboards (e.g., via Superset).
• Design and operate a structured IT service management model with clearly defined SLAs.
• Establish a scalable remote IT support operating model.
• Implement and continuously improve IT ticketing workflows and service processes.
Software & Identity Governance
• Define and enforce software governance standards across the organization.
• Reduce software sprawl and strengthen compliance and cost visibility.
• Establish and maintain a Group- wide authorized software register.
• Oversee periodic access reviews and ensure least- privilege principles.
• Lead implementation of Single Sign- On (SSO) and role- based access control.
Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture Oversight
• Define and oversee scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure architecture.
• Maintain high availability and operational stability across systems.
• Manage hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP as applicable).
• Ensure proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
• Define infrastructure standards for new facilities and expansions.
Data Infrastructure Oversight
• Ensure reliable, scalable data pipelines and integration of core systems.
• Oversee the Group’s data platform architecture and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineer to align platform design with security and governance standards.
• Support the business in establishing a single source of truth for key metrics.
• Ensure data access is governed in line with IT security policies.
IT Cost & Vendor Management
• Develop and manage the IT budget in alignment with business priorities.
• Ensure predictable and transparent IT cost structures.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives (especially non- personnel IT costs).
• Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
• Define workforce planning and capability development strategies.
• Ensure cross- functional collaboration with Finance, HR, Marketing, and Business Units.
• Build a high- performance, service- oriented, and accountable team culture.
• Establish clear objectives aligned to Group OKRs.
• Lead and develop the IT team across infrastructure, support, security, and data functions.
