The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, optimize product placement, and drive sales across all retail and distribution channels. This role serves as the critical link between Marketing and Sales to ensure brand plans are executed effectively in- market.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development & Execution
• Design and implement trade marketing plans aligned with brand and sales objectives, focusing on the 4Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion).
• Translate consumer and shopper insights into actionable trade strategies by channel and key customer.
• Lead channel and category development plans, ensuring competitive advantage and growth.
Pricing & Promotion
• Develop pricing frameworks and trade promotion mechanics tailored to each channel to meet sales and margin targets.
Market & Performance Analysis
• Track KPIs including distribution, sales uplift, ROI, and promotional effectiveness.
• Analyze market, channel, and competitor data to assess brand performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Customer & Sales Collaboration
• Partner with key customers and sales teams to co- develop trade programs and ensure execution excellence.
• Support nationwide sales teams with materials, tools, and insights for effective in- market activation.
Budget & P&L Management
• Manage trade marketing budgets, ensuring optimal spend allocation and profitability in collaboration with Sales.
• Monitor program ROI and financial impact.
In- Store Execution
• Ensure brand visibility and in- store execution meets quality standards, driving shopper engagement and brand preference.
Scope & Accountability
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, accurate reporting, and timely processing of related financial activities.
• Responsible for achieving trade marketing KPIs and contributing to overall sales targets.
• Lead, coach, and manage Trade Marketing Executive to meet performance expectations.
• Full ownership of trade marketing strategy and execution.
