2 General Description
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for cross- border land transportation. This candidate must have excellent communication and client management skills to maintain positive client relations. This candidate must be an initiative- taker, who is able to work in a fast- paced and dynamic environment. This candidate must be a collaborator to ensure good working cooperation between the different Business units locally and regionally.
The primary responsibility is to ensure that International Team is providing the best- in- class service to the customer. The candidate is expected to work with internal and external customers to establish and agree on SOP for transportation services and service level agreement. The candidate is expected to manage the team to achieve and maintain the committed KPI. The candidate must drive the team to ensure high performance and excellent quality service is being delivered to the customer. The candidate would have to manage the subcontractors to ensure that the service level given is aligned with the expectations of our customers.
3 Specific Accountabilities
The secondary responsibility is to support the Manager to suggest fresh ideas to lower costs, increase margin and improve the service level. The candidate is expected to keep in touch with market trends and adapt innovative technologies to disrupt the current market
P&L
Achieve the financial, strategic targets, KPIs and other goals set for international team.
Responsible for Profit and Loss of International team.
Transportation Operations
Ensure compliance with country subcontractor management policies and procedures.
Manage & adjust jobs among staff so that operation can go smoothly.
Ensure that the team will achieve a high- level of KPI and operation standard.
Keep close contact with customers to set good relationships & get their support in every operation.
Make weekly shipment report, KPI report for staff also then submit to manager.
Make sure all staffs entry shipment in TMS & make payment on time.
Manage and ensure that transportation operations are being delivered in accordance with the SOP and stipulated KPIs.
Ensure that the billing is completed accurately and timely and P&L is managed accurately.
Collaborate closely with KAM team, Schenker Oversea, subcontractors & other departments to get updated business information & solve problems if happen.
Evaluate & escalate to upper subcontractors&039; service problems if in need.
Support the Domestics team (if required).
Analyze breaches/irregularities, coordinate corrective actions with other functions (e.g., Products or Legal) and the BUs and take the lead for critical breaches (e.g., withdrawal of business- critical licenses).
Guide and support all functions for all related transportation matters.
Perform internal reviews of adherence to country standards as well as customer SOPs with regards to transportation activities
Go to visit the factory/have meeting with customers if required.
Process Improvement
Contribute to defining and optimizing productivity and efficiency parameters and workflow processes.
KPI Management
Ensure the delivery service of the Schenker team as well as the subcontractors.
HSSE
Understand the HSSE policy of the company.
Ensure that HSSE guidance is followed by subcontractors & staff.
Conduct audits together with HSSE team.
Ensure staff adhere to HSSE guidelines and provide guidance during new implementations.
Rectify near misses and report near misses to HSSE.
