SOLAR PV PROJECT MANAGER

You will get the support and guidance from our senior project managers based in Singapore to complete your deliverables.
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our new team in Vietnam and support the growth of the Company, playing an active role in the development, construction, and execution of our Vietnam Solar PV projects portfolio. The role is to ensure project goals of completion, performance and quality are achieved.
You will find below a list of the relevant tasks and responsibilities:
Project Design/Planning/ Management

Liaise with EPC and other industrial partners;
Anticipate and analyze delays and propose corrective action plans;
Review design compliance to Vietnam Electrical and Civil & Structural standard;
Generate activity progress reports addressing all project issues with updated project planning;
Develop project construction planning and workload forecasting to optimize allocation of resources and fulfill all milestones & objectives in due time;
Conduct Factory Acceptance Test/inspections.
Project Budget tracking;

Project On- Site Supervision

Mitigate against construction work practices that are not meeting the required standards;
Secure the commissioning and testing of the projects.
Monitor and supervise EPC partner during construction phase to ensure compliance to required standards and best practices;
Investigating and resolving field problems in coordination with customers, contractors, consortium partner;
Ensure Project adheres to quality, security and process requirements;
Performance Optimization
Suggest innovation to increase systems performance and continually reduce costs.
Maintain expert knowledge of competitors’ technical offering and innovative product development (including global best practices outside Vietnam: Asia Pacific, US, Europe…);
Provide feedback of products defects and non- quality issues for future corrections and procurements;
Screen and recommend potential technical partners;
Support the identification, development and continuous improvement of work processes, tools, and templates used to deliver technical support to our clients;

Project Safety Review

Review Contractor’s Method Statement and 5x5 matrix Risk Assessment;
Familiar with best practice for safety in construction industry.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Computer skills: Microsoft office, Gantt charts, S- curve, Solargis, AutoCAD, PVsyst, SAP2000, ETABS, etaps, etc;
Familiar with IEC standards relevant to electrical design & installation, e.g IEC 62548, 60364- 5- 52, etc;
3 to 5 years work experience in EPC, Engineering, or construction;
Bachelor or Master in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering;
Experience in project management and wholistic execution function;
Experience as Solar Power Engineer, Electrical commissioning testing procedures and familiarity with EVN procedures would be a plus;
Familiar with Vietnam electrical and Civil & Structure code and standards;
