SMT Process Engineer

We are seeking a skilled SMT Process Engineer / Pick- and- Place Programmer to support our high- mix, low- volume PCB assembly operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming pick- and- place machines, developing SMT processes, and supporting new product introductions (NPI) to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities

Program, set up, and optimize Pick- and- Place machines for new prototypes and high- mix production.
Develop and improve SMT manufacturing processes, including:
Solder paste printing parameters
Stencil design
Reflow profiles
Improve process efficiency, yield, and product quality through continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate machine programs, process documentation, and work instructions.
Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to mass production.
Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews to ensure manufacturability of PCB assemblies.
Troubleshoot SMT assembly issues and provide root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Minimum 3 years of experience in SMT programming and process engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Hands- on experience with SMT equipment, including:

Pick- and- Place machines (Fuji, Yamaha or similar)
Reflow Oven
Solder Paste Printer
AOI / SPI

Experience with MyData / SFC systems is an advantage.
Good understanding of IPC standards and SMT manufacturing processes.
Good English communication skills (written and verbal).
Experience working in high- mix / low- volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
