Senior NPI Manager

JOB FUNCTION:
Manage and provide Technical Leadership to new product development projects, manage and coordinate all Pre
qualification testing on initial samples for internal evaluation and provide results to the different Engineering groups; Quality / Manufacturing / Design Engineers, develops, plans, coordinates tasks for qualification and customer samples. Responsible for all aspects of the quality and functionality of the connector assembly at the development stage any mechanical or quality issues needs to communicate to the rest of the teams for improvements before is transfer to operations. Supervise and coordinate all NPI team activities program managers, Eng’s, Technicians and Operators.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Project Management on Development Projects, working with different teams to ensure meet targets schedules for Customer Samples and Time To Market (TTM).
- Will be responsible to Transfer to Operations/Production once all development documents and qualifications are completed.
- Collect process data and analyses, provide recommendations and or observations to optimize assembly process to the ME, R&D & QA team.
- Participation on Design Reviews and provide collective feedback to Design Engineers on components and assembly Cables (DFM).
- Support and Coordinate qualification & customer samples thru NPI personnel.
- Plan and coordinate activities for the NPI team
- Preliminary test Analysis on NPI samples for the cables to issue report with comments and suggestions from the different test.
- Provide and review the status of Projects with Local /US teams,
- Work closely with the Design engineering teams at different countries to support development activities on new products.
- Report on weekly basics the progress of different projects

- Experience in high- speed stamping, injection molding, precious metal plating or manufacturing cables background preferred
- Bachelor degree or above in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electromechanical or Mechanical)
- Soildwork, CAD software experience.
- Advanced level of decision making with responsibility for outcomes necessary
- Strong problem- solving skills, capable of using data to analyze process and product problems – SPC, Six Sigma Tools, etc.
- Effective use of problem prevention tools, including Quality Planning, D- FMEA, P- FMEA, SPC X- Bar/R Charting, Cp/Cpk, R&R, etc.
- At least 5 years at the similar role, experience in Cables assembly /Connectors development preferred
- Good command of English & Chinese skill
- Strong MS Project, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
