Senior Frontend Developer ReactJS

Senior Frontend Developers are the main drivers and champions of those practices in delivery teams, exemplifying and demonstrating what “good” looks like from a Thoughtworks engineering perspective.
For a team to thrive, it needs collaboration and room for healthy, respectful debate. Senior Frontend Developers are the technologists who cultivate this environment while driving teams toward delivering on an aspirational tech vision and acting as mentors for more junior- level consultants. You will leverage deep technical knowledge to solve complex business problems and proactively assess your team’s health, code quality and nonfunctional pipelines.
Job responsibilities

You will work in collaborative, value- driven teams to build innovative customer experiences for our clients.
You will create scalable UI systems that are delightful, high functioning and accessible to all audiences.
You will learn, digest and subsequently apply the latest technology thinking from our Technology Radar to solve client problems.
You will use and advocate for continuous delivery practices to deliver high- quality software as well as value to end customers as early as possible.
You will learn and adopt best practices like writing clean and reusable code using TDD, pair programming and design patterns.
You will collaborate with a variety of teammates to build features, design concepts and interactive prototypes and ensure best practices and UX specifications are embedded along the way.
You will oversee or take part in the entire cycle of software consulting and delivery from ideation to deployment and everything in between.
You will efficiently use DevSecOps tools and practices to build and deploy software, advocating devops culture and shifting security left in development.
You will act as a mentor for less- experienced peers through both your technical knowledge and leadership skills.

Technical skills

You are familiar with JavaScript packaging tools and TypeScript.
You have a strong understanding of HTTP, multi- tiered web architectures and the latest web standards including web accessibility.
You know at least React or more contemporary web frameworks (React, Angular or Vue). Bonus point if you know Next.js (in particular SSR).
You are comfortable with Agile methods, such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum and/or Kanban.
You understand and apply user experience and web design principles into your applications.
Bonus point if you have experience with Headless CMS integration.
You have created responsive, mobile- first experiences using complex CSS layouts and best practices.
You are well- versed in JavaScript programming, design patterns and writing modular, reusable, object- oriented and functional JavaScript code.
You have experience in optimizing web applications (code splitting, lazy loading, caching strategies).
You have experience with concepts such as design systems, atomic design, micro frontends, progressive web apps and backend for frontend.
Bonus point if you have experience with Microfrontend to embed modules in web pages.
You have experience developing modular web components using the latest HTML, CSS and JavaScript standards and have a proficient understanding of cross- browser and cross- platform compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
