Senior/Lead Backend Developer

About the job
We are looking for a Senior/Lead Backend Developer to join our team and build robust, scalable, and secure backend systems for our education management platform, including eSchool (academic management system) and Student Portal. The role focuses on backend development with Node.js or Java Spring Boot, and frontend development with Vue.js or React.js. You will also support system integrations and database operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth, Role- Based Access Control).
Integrate external systems such as eSchool, CRM, and CDP… through APIs.
Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js or Java Spring Boot.
Build and optimize database schemas and stored procedures in SQL Server and MySQL.
Build user interfaces with Vue.js + Vuetify (for School Management) and React.js (for Student Portal).
Collaborate with frontend developers and education staff to translate academic workflows into reliable backend solutions.
Ensure security, data integrity, and performance optimization of backend services.
Develop import/export pipelines for Excel/CSV files (e.g., gradebook, tuition fees), including validation and error handling.

Requirements:

Hands- on experience with Excel/CSV data handling (import/export, validation).
Familiarity with Docker and deployment workflows.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross- functional teams (frontend developers, product managers, education administrators).
Experience with at least one frontend framework: Vue.js (Vuetify) or React.js.
3+ years of experience in backend or fullstack development.
Strong proficiency in Node.js (Express.js) or Java Spring Boot and experience with SQL Server/MySQL.
Solid understanding of RESTful API design, data modeling, and database optimization.
Experience with reporting and analytics dashboards.
Previous experience working with LMS, CRM, and CDP platforms is highly preferred
Experience with system integration (third- party APIs, CRM, EMS, eCommerce platforms).
Knowledge of authentication & security (JWT, OAuth2, API security best practices).
