About the Role:
The Scrum Master is a pivotal role responsible for guiding and coaching teams in adopting Agile principles and practices. This position requires a strong understanding of Scrum frameworks, a proven ability to facilitate collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a servant leader with experience in empowering teams to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
Foster a collaborative environment where team members communicate openly and work harmoniously.
Assume various roles as needed, including Trainer, Mentor, Coach, Leader, Facilitator, Manager, and Change Agent, to support team development.
Train and coach managers on empowering individuals and fostering self- managing, high- performing teams.
Monitor team progress and proactively remove obstacles that hinder the achievement of Sprint goals.
Guide teams in delivering high- quality increments that adhere to the Definition of Done (DoD).
Ensure Scrum ceremonies are conducted effectively and efficiently within the designated time frames.
Instruct teams on the effective use of Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Trello.
Provide training and coaching to team members, stakeholders, and initiatives in applying empirical approaches, incremental and iterative development, and lean thinking in alignment with Scrum values.
Work with teams to enhance their effectiveness and practices through maturity assessments, improvement plans, and targeted training and coaching sessions.
Plan, implement, and enhance Scrum adoption within teams and across the organization.
Requirements:
Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, communication, and motivational skills, with a commitment to being a servant leader and effective team player.
Proficient in using common Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Trello.
Professional Scrum certifications such as A- CSM or PSM II are required. Additional certifications like PMP, PMI- ACP, or Agile Project Management are advantageous.
3 years of technical experience in the software industry, with solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in training and coaching Scrum teams and mentoring various roles, including Product Owners, Designers, Developers, Testers, and Business Analysts.
