Responsibilities and Duties:
Documentation and Reporting: Manage and maintain comprehensive project documentation including requirements, design documents, project plans, and status reports. Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of the project.
Technical Guidance: Provide or review technical guidance and support to the project team, helping to solve complex firmware issues. Ensure that the firmware meets the technical specifications and quality standards.
Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for project communication, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of project status, milestones, and changes. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. This includes the management of project teams involved in the design, development, and testing of firmware.
Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
Project Planning and Management: Develop detailed project plans that outline scope, timeframes, budget, resources and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.. Ensure the firmware projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
Qualifications
Ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers and developers.
Proven experience in firmware development and project management, ideally in an embedded systems environment.
Strong technical background with understanding of software development.
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Experience with firmware development tools and methodologies.
Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management, or related field.
Excellent analytical skills.
Master’s degree or relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
