Project Manager - Japanese (Report To BOD)

JOB OVERVIEW• We are looking for an experienced and proactive Project Manager work directly with the Board of Directors (BOD). This role is critical in bridging communication with Japanese clients, supporting executive- level activities, and manage in strategic business development for the Japanese market.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support BOD in diplomatic and business development activities in the Japanese market
• Represent the company in client visits, external business events, and negotiations
• Provide cultural and business insights to support market penetration and relationship building
• Support BOD in meetings with Japanese clients: not only as a translator but also as a communication driver to ensure business understanding and alignment
• Manage and report overall situation and progress of Japanese projects/programs to BOD, including risks, challenges, and opportunities
• Coordinate cross- functional collaboration across departments to support BOD initiatives
• Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, proposals, and meeting documents in both Japanese and English
• Act as the primary liaison between Japanese clients and internal delivery teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment

• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• More than 3- 5+ years of working experience in roles such as Project Manager / Business analyst / Account Manager,… or similar
• Ability to work independently and handle executive- level responsibilities
• Experienced with Agile/Waterfall models.
• Good command of English is preferred
• Proficient in Japanese communication at JLPT N2–N1 level, confident in discussions and presentations
• Experience working with Japanese clients or in Japanese business environments
• Experienced in project management and knowledgeable about management methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
• Understanding of Japanese business etiquette and culture
• Experience working directly with C- level executives or BOD
• Background in IT, outsourcing, consulting, or related industries is an advantage
