Planning Control – 50%
• Track and monitor promised ship dates (On- Time Delivery) to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Ensure promised dates meet or are as close as possible to the Customer Request Date (CRD).
• Ensure capacity planning is optimized to maximize revenue and meet customer demand.
• Maximize capacity and maintain efficient utilization of equipment.
• Calculate and propose plant capacity investment based on customer requirements.
• Develop a planning tool to track detailed daily plan vs. actual results.
• Respond to customers accurately and in a timely manner.
• Complete On- Time Delivery and other assigned reports within required timelines.
• Identify and effectively resolve potential planning- related issues across cross- functional teams.
• Control and order sufficient raw materials for production.
• Gain and maintain customer insights.
• Analyze root causes of delayed deliveries with related departments and address issues quickly and productively.
• Effectively utilize the planning tool to optimize manufacturing cost, inventory, and flexibility.
• Organize meetings with customers to address planning- related issues.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with related departments effectively.
Inventory Control – 20%
• Review backlog periods and ensure pull- in/push- out changes are communicated promptly.
• Manage Work in Progress (WIP) value and aging to minimize inventory.
• Provide rolling demand forecasts to Purchasing in a timely manner to shorten lead time.
• Analyze and submit aging materials, strategic stock, and safety stock reports on time.
• Monitor and liquidate dead or slow- moving materials.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet targets.
• Update production yield in a timely manner to prevent shortages or excess finished goods.
Supervision, Management and Leadership – 20%
• Ensure the Performance Management Process is fully implemented, with meaningful stretch goals for all employees; feedback is continuous, development- focused, and completed with 100% On- Time Delivery.
• Ensure all employment laws, regulations, II–VI standards, and local HR policies and procedures are fully understood and complied with within the function.
• Ensure the team is properly staffed, motivated, inspired, engaged, and empowered to deliver high and sustainable performance in a dynamic environment, at a cost level aligned with organizational and market realities.
• Establish a learning environment where the team is trained and developed to consistently meet organizational expectations in both the short and long term.
• Ensure effective two- way communication, with open and active information flow to support organizational effectiveness.
• Ensure the right people are in the right roles by consistently applying appropriate interview, selection techniques, and methodologies across the organization.
• Ensure an accident- free environment by complying with all EH&S policies and procedures; maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workplace, and actively promote the mindset that all accidents are preventable within the area of influence.
Others – 10%
• Lead planning activities for ISO and customer audits.
• Ensure all Work Instructions are generated and updated in a timely manner.
• Review Continuous Improvement processes and propose improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain all reports related to planning activities.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.
