Pattern Engineer

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION

Help ensure software selection / usage is meeting business needs and is positioned for company growth.
Create and modify digital patterns for textiles and foam / batting cutting processes using industry- standard CAD software like Gerber AccuMark, Lectra, SolidWorks, or Optitex. Understand and optimize tool paths for Manufacturability and equipment wear.
Develop, maintain and organize a digital library of all patterns and design files for easy retrieval and version control throughout the organization.
Develop technical blueprints and specifications for Quality Staff, Production Staff and / or 3rd party vendors to utilize. Manage technical drawings from development through end of life in production including but not limited to design templates, CNC cut files, engineering drawings (2D and 3D), and technical data sheets.

CROSS FUNCTIONAL INTEGRATION

Address and resolve any CAD- related issues to arise during design/pattern- making, layout modifications, and production processes.
Review and adjust patterns, seam allowances, accessory placement, and technical annotations to ensure they meet quality standards and design specifications.
Work cross- functionally to optimize construction for both functionality and manufacturability through the entire manufacturing process (including the filling process).
Work cross- functionally with product development, design, production, sourcing, and cost accounting teams to ensure all layouts and cut files are accurate, manufacturable, and set up properly. This includes maintaining a master costing file for all items with all relevant patterns and fabric widths.
Develop Customer facing specifications and work with Marketing to ensure online copy is up to date and accurate.
Drive continuous improvement in layout efficiencies by optimizing part design, layout efficiency, fabric width selection, and production cutting processes.

Other analysis as required.
Recommending to sourcing optimal material size selection (fabric width, bun size, etc.) for program and greige- buys based on forecasted units by silhouette and pattern.
Aiding production with manufacturability studies and relaying feedback / modifying design files to improve efficiencies.

Thiết kế, chỉnh sửa và tối ưu rập kỹ thuật số (pattern) phục vụ quy trình cắt vải, foam hoặc batting bằng các phần mềm CAD như Gerber, Optitex hoặc SolidWorks.
Xây dựng và quản lý bản vẽ kỹ thuật, CNC cut files, technical data sheet phục vụ sản xuất.
Rà soát và điều chỉnh pattern, seam allowance, vị trí phụ kiện và thông số kỹ thuật theo tiêu chuẩn chất lượng.
Tối ưu layout cắt, khổ vải và thiết kế chi tiết nhằm nâng cao hiệu quả sản xuất và giảm hao hụt vật liệu.
Xây dựng và quản lý thư viện dữ liệu rập và file thiết kế phục vụ truy xuất và kiểm soát phiên bản.
Hỗ trợ phân tích khả năng sản xuất (manufacturability) và đề xuất cải tiến trong quy trình sản xuất.

Required Qualifications
Education CAD Operator Certification
Experience

Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross- functional teams.
SolidWorks is preferred but not required.
Proficient in one of the following design software programs: Gerber, Optitex, or SolidWorks.
Strong understanding of furniture / garment construction, fabric types, and pattern grading.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis, report creation, and presentations.
Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and accessible file system.
Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast- paced production environment.
At least 3 years of experience in a textile manufacturing or similar industry with 2 years specific to CAD operation.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred qualifications

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) for basic design editing.
Experience in foam / fiber batting processing / cutting is a plus.
Experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a plus.
Fluency in English is a plus.
Experience in packaging / corrugate is a plus.

Working Conditions
Environment

Primary duties and work location are split equally between the factory floor and office at the Long An , (Tay Ninh), Vietnam plant.

Travel to the United States may be requested in limited instances.

Essential physical requirements

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting at a desk working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 25kg (consistent with roll of plotter paper)

Ít nhất 3 năm kinh nghiệm trong ngành dệt may / sản xuất liên quan, trong đó 2 năm sử dụng CAD.
Có khả năng làm việc trong môi trường sản xuất và áp lực tiến độ

Ưu tiên

Có kinh nghiệm AutoCAD hoặc SolidWorks.
Kinh nghiệm xử lý foam, fiber batting hoặc packaging.
Có khả năng tiếng Anh
Biết Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop.

Điều kiện làm việc

Làm việc tại nhà máy Long An (Tây Ninh).
Công việc kết hợp giữa văn phòng và khu vực sản xuất.
Có thể nâng vật nặng khoảng 25kg khi cần thiết.
Có thể công tác nước ngoài khi cần.
