• Automation Project Management:
Create collaborative project communication channels with Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Supervision, and floor operators.
Develop and maintain Gantt Charts, Project Schedules, Risk Assessments, and Contingency Plans
Manage suppliers of capital equipment for turn- key applications/custom equipment. Manage cost, timing and budget of each project
Develop agendas to facilitate and document project meetings
Attend improvement meetings, work with the Operations Team to develop action plans for new automatic, and semi- automatic equipment, and scheduling needs
Deliver formal presentations to leadership regarding project status.
Coordinate development plan and follow- up actions, including but not limited to Conceptualization, Simulation, or Prototyping
• Factory Automation and Technology Development
Conduct equipment certification and run- off, using statistical analysis tools to verify equipment, capability
Have ability to build simulations, real prototypes to confirm feasibility as well as fabrication time/cost estimates and test proposed fabrication processes
And/ or have the capability to use PLC, computer- based, and cellphone- based language to program automatic equipment, and integration systems (to Automatic Software and Electrics Design- Mechatronic Engineering).
Engage in automation and innovation courses through technology co- research and development as well as engineering co- test and deployment.
Have the capability to use CAD to design automatic equipment, integration system (to Automatic Hardware and Mechanical Design- Mechatronic Engineering)
Commit to major strategic cost, quality and delivery initiatives with aggressive focus on breakthrough process and technology improvements to achieve a substantial competitive advantage
Assist with Continuous Improvement Projects in Kaizen Activities, Visual Management, OEE, etc
Have the ability to conduct research, development, and implementation of new manufacturing technologies, Robotics, or IoT platforms and capital equipment to improve current throughput, scrap/rework reduction, reduce cost, improve quality, reliability and visuality.
