Mechanical Engineer

Liaise with contractors to support site implementation.
Priority is given to candidates with strong expertise in fire protection and plumbing systems for real estate and industrial projects.
Prepare concept, basic, and detailed design drawings using Revit MEP or AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with local codes and international standards.
Perform duties assigned by MEP Director/Manager/Team Leader within the required timeframe.
Assist the Team Leader in producing design specifications, design reports, and finalizing calculations.
Review shop drawings and material submissions from contractors/construction managers.
Support the Team Leader/Manager in equipment & material quantity take- off, cost estimates, and technical schedules.
Undertake all necessary design calculations, analysis, schematic diagrams, and equipment sizing.
Undertake site visits and inspections as required.
Assist Team Leader in various technical and project coordination tasks.
Review and check all drawings and calculations produced by self and other team members before submission.
Ensure drawings are reviewed by the Team Leader prior to external issue.
Knowledge of compressed air, vacuum, and boiler systems is considered an advantage.
Propose technical innovations to improve design quality and efficiency.
Liaise with project architects, other engineering disciplines, sub- consultants, contractors, and clients as required.
Follow company’s design procedures and professional standards.

Previous experience working within an Engineering consulting environment, with a clear focus on design experience.
Advanced knowledge of design software in relation to the MEP design including Revit, AutoCAD and MS office software such as Excel, Word, Power Point, MS Project & Access.
Site inspection or supervision experience on building construction projects.
Years of experience: 4- 6 Years Post Graduate Experience
Intermediate knowledge of International Building Codes and Design Standards including environmental building standards (LEED and similar).
Intermediate written and spoken communication skills in English.
Degree qualified in Water supply and drainage Engineering /Mechanical Engineering
Intermediate time management and organizational skills with the ability to self- manage billable hours and ability to undertake own work with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.
Previous experience within design teams and on Author’s Supervision duties.
Be a licensed Water supply and drainage Engineer, or be eligible to become a licensed Water supply and drainage Engineer.
