We are looking for a Global Marketing Builder / Acting Marketing Lead to build and validate the go- to- market foundation for ShopBase and its ecosystem in selected international markets. This role is ideal for a hands- on marketing builder who enjoys working in an early- stage global setup, where not everything is ready, and impact comes from clarity, experimentation, and learning speed. This is a build- first role, with a clear pathway to Global Marketing Lead as the function matures.
Key Objectives (First 6 Months)
Create a strong foundation for scaling Global Marketing in the next phase
Design and validate go- to- market (GTM) frameworks for priority markets
Build a clear understanding of target global markets and customer segments
Identify and test effective acquisition channels
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & GTM Foundation
Define clear market entry hypotheses and success criteria for selected markets
Build GTM frameworks covering positioning, messaging, channels, and funnel structure
Conduct structured market research to identify high- potential regions, customer segments, and use cases
Marketing Execution & Experimentation
Translate insights into actionable recommendations for scaling or optimization
Design and run marketing experiments across selected channels (content, community, partnerships, paid, etc.)
Analyze performance data to validate, iterate, or stop initiatives quickly
Community & Ecosystem Building
Build and engage focused online communities (e.g. Facebook, Discord, Telegram) to support merchant education and product adoption
Work closely with Product, CS, and Growth teams to align community insights with product and business priorities
Cross- functional Collaboration
Partner with Product, Growth, Sales Enablement, and Operations teams to align GTM execution
Provide market feedback to support product roadmap and localization decisions
What Success Looks Like (90–180 Days)
Well- defined target customer personas and value propositions
Clear GTM framework for at least 2–3 priority global markets
Actionable roadmap for scaling Global Marketing in the next phase
Validated acquisition channels with measurable traction
