The position entails comprehensive oversight of strategic communications with external stakeholders, focusing on building memorable product brands and solidifying Sony’s position as a Top- of- Mind (TOM) brand. Core responsibilities include end- to- end brand management, public and media relations, corporate positioning, product launches, advertising, sales collateral development, and trade show marketing. These objectives are accomplished through an integrated marketing approach that leverages traditional and digital marketing tools to drive brand consistency, impact, and business results.
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for leading corporate marketing and communications efforts across both online and offline channels. This role will manage a multimillion- dollar marketing budget and oversee an eight- member team, ensuring robust planning, execution, and performance evaluation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Strategy & Execution
• Collaborate closely with HQ/RHQ, Product Marketing, Sales, and internal/external stakeholders to deliver timely and impactful campaigns.
• Lead and supervise Marketing Communications team members to ensure effective planning and execution throughout the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) cycle.
Media Relations & Corporate Communications
• Supervise PR team members and coordinate with HQ/RHQ, Product Marketing, Sales, and relevant stakeholders to maintain a consistent brand image across all channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key media partners and manage local crisis communications to mitigate reputational risk.
• Ensure all creative outputs adhere strictly to Corporate Identity (CI) guidelines and brand standards.
• Serve as the strategic lead for media and public relations, developing and executing the organization’s PR and communications strategy.
Digital Marketing Communications
• Analyze and consolidate digital marketing performance reports and act as an internal digital consultant, including KPI setting and performance monitoring.
• Lead and direct the Digital Marketing team to deliver cohesive and effective always- on digital campaigns.
• Manage corporate social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, databases, and website) and drive online- to- offline (O2O) initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional teams on SEM and ongoing Facebook campaigns while exploring new and emerging media channels.
Customer Marketing & Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
• Increase the number of contactable/registered customer databases and generate repeat purchases through effective communication and customer engagement.
• Develop and implement integrated customer marketing strategies that enhance customer engagement and loyalty, ensuring alignment with overall brand goals.
• Develop CRM and loyalty programs that enhance engagement and generate repeat purchases/up- sales/cross- sales.
• Utilize data analytics to personalize communication and improve customer lifetime value.
Budget & KPI Management
• Manage the monthly Marketing A&P budget effectively, ensuring efficient utilization to meet marketing objectives.
• Track KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness and optimize budget allocation.
