We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer with a strong frontend background (and full- stack capability preferred) to join a high- impact, self- sufficient product development team. You will play a critical role in leading technical execution, architecture design, and engineering best practices, while collaborating closely with a client- driven Product Manager. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a “You build it, you run it” model and is passionate about delivering modern, scalable e- commerce platforms.

Guide the team in using OpenTelemetry and Grafana for observability, and ensure developers test their code.
Support the team’s experimentation with AI tools like Cursor, Claude, and Copilot, with a direction toward standardization on Cursor.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, high ownership, and technical excellence.Mentor and support other engineers in their technical growth and career development.
Establish and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and DevOps principles.
Collaborate with the Project Manager from our client side
Drive architecture decisions and provide technical leadership across the team.
Own the full software development lifecycle: from development to deployment, monitoring, and incident resolution.
Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and maintainable software systems using Next.js, CommerceTools, and Pimcore.

Frontend: Next.js
Backend: CommerceTools, Pimcore (bonus if you can handle both FE and BE)
Observability: OpenTelemetry, Grafana
AI Tooling: Cursor (preferred), Claude, CopilotWork Model: “You build it, you run it” – ownership includes on- call, bug fixing, and improvements
DevOps: GitHub Actions, Kubernetes

Familiarity with microservices, distributed systems, and scalable architecture design.
Strong technical leadership, with proven experience mentoring developers and making high- impact architectural decisions.
Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD workflows.
8+ years of professional software development experience, with strong frontend expertise, especially with NextJS.
Experienced with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Strong English communication skills and ability to collaborate with international, cross- functional, remote, or multi- vendor teams.
Highly autonomous, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast- paced, outcome- oriented environment.
Hands- on experience in e- commerce platforms is required.

Passionate about developer tooling and improving the engineering process through automation and observability.
Experience driving standardization efforts across multiple engineering teams.
Used to work with CommerceTools, and Pimcore
Experience working in full- stack environments.
