Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, risk management, compliance, and IT operations.
Certifications: Industry- recognized certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT), and CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control).
Technical Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability management, encryption, and identity and access management.
Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
Business Acumen: A strong understanding of business operations and objectives, and the ability to align security strategies with those objectives.
Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of security- related laws, regulations, and standards.
Leadership Skills: The ability to lead and manage a team of security professionals, as well as to communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders.
