AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Participates in the development and implementation of business strategies for the hotel which are aligned with Radisson Hotel Group’s overall mission, vision values and strategies
Participates in the implementation of marketing and sales strategies that support achievement of the hotel’s goals
Develops and implements strategies for achieving individual sales goals
Achieves market share and revenue goals by working with the Director of Sales and Marketing on individual and team goals within assigned market segments
Participates in the implementation of marketing strategies which are designed to increase awareness in the local market
Reviews individual and team goals on a weekly basis; recommends and takes appropriate actions to achieve objectives in key result areas
Prepares proposals and contracts that are geared to maximize profit while satisfying client needs
Ensure all materials used are in accordance with brand standards
Contacts in- house customers to retain and grow existing business, repeat bookings or referrals to other Radisson Hotel Group hotels
Develops data and recommends programs to meet clients&039; needs
Uses outside sales calls, prospecting, hotels tours and hosting of clients to solicit new business
Participates in the implementation of public relations and advertising campaigns
Maintains proper flow of information to sales team, reviews sales work file of assigned accounts
Communicates clients&039; requests to all departments in an effective and timely manner
Insures maximum occupancy on a daily basis by performing follow- ups on progress of groups booked with events services team
Participates in and contributes to the completion of monthly booking report(s)
Prepares reports to improve management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities
Acts as lead and back- up to Director of Sales and Marketing
Works closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the team in his/her absence
Develop key leadership skills by working with Director of Sales and Marketing, attending classes and working with other executive committee members
Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
Adheres to brand and hotel policies and procedures
Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a co- operative and harmonious working environment
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner to achieve the overall objectives of this position
Ensure all materials used to market the Hotel are in accordance with brand standards
Maintains a high standard of personal grooming at all times in order to represent the Hotel and Company in a professional manner
Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Sales and Marketing
Ensure thorough understanding and revision of department policies and procedures are undertaken and followed by all existing and new department team members
Ensure thorough understanding of all Brand Sales and Marketing programs
Keep immediate Manager fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
