Design To Cost Engineer

Support DtC action plan, coordinate its implementation and draw conclusions.
Testing and evaluation to ensure the product meets the specifications after changing new components.
Participate in the identification of design ideas related to DtC.
Support Alternative Components Approval (ACA) requested by Purchasing team.
Work in the Research and Development team providing expertise from a Design to Cost (DtC) for the design and manufacturing of power supplier, charger products.
Support recommendation to management on strategies to achieve cost reduction targets.
Support Documentation team in the preparation of Product Change Request (PCR).
Review Build of Materials (BOM) cost and analyze current engineering design to get cost reduction ideas and proposed new DtC initiatives.
Work with Purchasing team/Customers/ Suppliers to replace high quality components with low cost.
Review manufacturing processes, process capabilities, tooling philosophy and provides recommendations as needed.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications.
Proficient in soldering and electronics troubleshooting.
Experience in using CAD software for schematic capture and PCB layout, Pulsonix is a plus.
Minimum 2- 5 years of relevant work experience with analog circuit development including design, debugging and validation.
Experience with Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing, Design to Reliability.
Knowledge of switched- mode power supply topologies and related waveforms.
Familiar with the use of multi- meters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers.
Knowledge of active components (Mosfet,BJT,GaN,…), magnet components (transformer,choke,ferrite,…), EMC and safety requirements.
Good communication skills in English (written and verbal)
Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronic.
Having prior experience in DtC activities or other cost reduction program optimization activity is a plus.
