Design Engineer

Overview
CT Verse is developing an indigenous sounding rocket program as part of a broader aerospace and advanced technology initiative in Vietnam. Our mission is to build reliable, high- performance launch systems for scientific research, technology demonstration, and future space applications. The Design Engineer will be responsible for the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of sounding rocket structures and subsystems. This role requires strong mechanical design capability, understanding of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes, and the ability to work closely with analysis, propulsion, avionics, and manufacturing teams.
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (with possible travel to test and launch sites)
JOB DESCRIPTION

Contribute to mass optimization and structural efficiency efforts.
Support material selection and manufacturing process definition.
Participate in configuration control and design reviews (PDR, CDR).
Support ground testing, structural testing, and design iteration.
Develop detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
Design primary and secondary rocket structures (airframe, interstages, motor casing interfaces, payload section, fins).
Coordinate closely with computational simulation engineers to validate structural integrity.
Perform tolerance stack- up and fit- check analyses.

Experience in launch vehicles, sounding rockets, missile systems, or UAV structures.
Knowledge of aerospace materials (aluminum alloys, composites, high- strength steels).
Familiarity with systems engineering processes.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
Strong problem- solving skills and attention to detail.
Exposure to structural testing and hardware qualification.
Minimum 3–5 years of mechanical design experience (aerospace or high- performance mechanical systems preferred).
Familiarity with manufacturing processes (CNC machining, composite layup, welding, bonding).
Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or equivalent).
Understanding of structural load paths, vibration environments, and high- acceleration systems.

The opportunity to contribute directly to a national level aerospace development program.
Working time is 8 hours/day from Monday to Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
