KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
WordPress Development:
Designing and implementing new features and functionality for existing and new websites.
Developing and maintaining responsive design websites.
Ensuring high- performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
Establishing and guiding the architecture of the website to ensure it meets operating requirements.
Understanding of PHP back- end development.
Comfortable working with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Web Operations:
Collaborating with the marketing team to ensure SEO practices are correctly implemented on newly developed code.- Performing routine site audits and optimizing performance.
Assess, investigate and identify factors affecting website performance in terms of site speed, functionality and configuration (KPI).
Use website builder/content management system to set up website, update content, deploy new features as per requests.
Maintenance and Security:
Applying security measures to protect the website from vulnerabilities.
Managing all technical aspects of the CMS, including software updates and data backups.
Web Analytics:
Assisting in the collection and analysis of web metrics, and making improvements based on the data.
Working with the team to streamline visitor experience and manage traffic.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome Inspector, etc.
Understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them.
At least 1 years of experience as a WordPress Developer.
Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git).
Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
Experience with website optimization tools.
Understanding of PHP back- end development.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
Strong understanding of front- end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
