The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations within a manufacturing facility producing light construction materials. This role ensures efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining inventory accuracy, safety standards, and alignment with production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
• Warehouse Operations:
• Ensure proper handling and storage of lightweight construction materials to prevent damage and maintain product integrity.
• Collaborate with production and logistics teams to align warehouse operations with manufacturing schedules.
• Manage daily warehouse activities including receiving raw materials, storing finished goods, and coordinating outbound shipments.
• Inventory & Materials Management:
• Ensure daily cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/WMS systems.
• Monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished products to support inventory optimization activities.
• Team Leadership:
• Provide training on material handling, safety procedures, and equipment use.
• Supervise warehouse staff, including forklift operators, pickers, and loaders.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety audits and enforce PPE usage.
• Implement proper storage practices for lightweight and potentially fragile materials.
• Process Optimization:
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and 5S practices within the warehouse.
• Identify and implement improvements in warehouse layout, material flow, and space utilization.
• Reporting & KPIs:
• Update, reporting and analyses Warehouse cost to find opportunities for cost optimization.
• Track and report key metrics such as inventory accuracy, slob & aging products, fulfillment rate, and warehouse productivity,
• Prepare reports for management on warehouse performance and improvement plans.
