About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations within a manufacturing facility including materials management, inventory control, and team supervision. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of warehouse management experience, strong organization skills, and the ability to work closely with vendors, production teams, and logistics providers to ensure efficient flow of goods.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
• Place finished goods in storage racks according to order and shipping schedules.
• Collaborate with production and logistics teams to align warehouse operations with manufacturing schedules.
• Verify incoming deliveries against orders; record and file delivery notes.
• Organize raw materials on correct pallets and racks according to plan.
• Prepare materials for production following First- In, First- Out (FIFO) standards.
• Prepare shipments in advance to meet customer timelines.
Inventory & Materials Management
• Conduct monthly inventory checks, daily cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed records of incoming/outgoing goods and finished products.
• Monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished products to support production and customer demand.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
Team Leadership
• Supervise warehouse staff, including forklift operators, pickers, and loaders.
• Provide training on material handling, safety procedures, and equipment use.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Allocate tasks, monitor team performance, and provide coaching and mentorship.
Safety & Compliance
• Conduct safety checks to ensure lights are off, windows closed, and warehouse is secure at end of day.
• Conduct regular safety audits and enforce PPE usage.
• Perform forklift maintenance checks and ensure safe operation.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
Process Optimization
• Identify and implement improvements in warehouse layout, material flow, and space utilization.
• Prepare weekly reports for management on warehouse performance, costs, and improvement plans.
• Maintain detailed records of warehouse activities for audit and compliance purposes.
• Analyze data to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and 5S practices within the warehouse.
