MAIN SCOPE AND PURPOSE:
To be a successful Head of Travel Desk, you should have a strong working knowledge of travel management processes and excellent attention to detail. Ultimately, a top- notch Head of Travel Desk is skilled at providing a smooth travel experience.
We are looking for a detail- oriented individual to join our team as a Head of Travel Desk. The responsibilities of the Head of Travel Desk include optimizing our travel operations, making travel arrangements, providing guidance on travel arrangements, and preparing budget reports.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Arranging travel accommodations for business visitors.
Coordinating with other departments to make sure all company policies are followed and have correct guidelines to team members if needed.
Researching travel deals and evaluating prices and services.
Creating, optimizing, and monitoring corporate travel policies.
Maintaining positive relationships with vendors of direct travel, such as car rentals, hotels, and airlines.
Assisting with any travel- related issues that may arise.
Training and supervising any new team members from the Induction procedures to daily basis working
Negotiating preferred rates with vendors of direct travel.
Preparing travel budget reports.
Managing and processing all travel- related documentation, including payments, itineraries, visas, and medical and legal forms.
Planning travel accommodations, booking flights, hotels, and car rentals, and coordinating activities.
Creating a weekly working roster for below team members in the Tour & Travel Department.
Analyzing and preparing reports on travel spending.
Yêu cầu công việc
Agility, honesty, effective communication skills, willingness to work in shifts, overtime, public holidays.
Good communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors of direct travel (existing relationships may be advantageous).
Ability to communicate in English well.
Strong computer skills.
Knowledge of travel management processes.
A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience may be preferred.
Experience in an equivalent position in a hotel/hostel/resort environment is an advance.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in the travel industry.
A basic understanding of Geography.
A bachelor&039;s degree in tourism, travel or hospitality is required for corporate travel managers.
Certification in travel or hospitality may be advantageous.
Skilled in handling situations, under high pressure;
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
