Transport Sourcing Manager

Job purpose:
Refine and implement best local / sub- regional category specific strategies, particularly within domestic ground transportation in the VN market. Work closely with local procurement teams to ensure "best in class" suppliers and maintain good relationships with the various internal business units and stakeholders. Prepare and support supplier negotiations at local level, and ensure cost competitiveness, compliance, and overall satisfaction for our stakeholders.

Specialize in strategic sourcing of goods and services and transportation capacities in order to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business / function in scope
Integrate Procurement services at sub- regional / country level for the business colleagues (divisions) are in scope. Achieving greatest value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price and service
Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research / intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of local or sub- regional frame contracts
Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of local:
markets / category trends
suppliers / key local players
Effectively implement local / sub- regional contracts
Prepare and support supplier negotiations at local level with more senior colleagues
Supporting and implement local category strategies leveraging on regional and global strategies
Ensure (sourcing, purchasing, company) policy adherence of local divisional colleagues
Prepare, conduct and support tenders (incl. e- sourcing) with more senior sourcing colleagues
Supplier management:
new sources identification
database maintenance
supplier classification
Track and maintain accurate data in the Procurement tools:
spend, projects, master data
suppliers, rates, contracts
Establish close contact with local business units to ensure actual and future knowledge of demand and service quality
Contribute to the cooperation between countries and sourcing

Flexible to travel locally
Understanding of and working experience with procurement practices and procedures and commercial law, preferably category specific
Fluent in English
Project management experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
7 years of relevant experience preferably in domestics transportation and vendor sourcing

Functional Skills:

Transportation Cost Model Knowledge: fully understand cost model and able to find the suppliers in the market that meet cost model design
Supplier Management & Market Knowledge – Supplier management; supplier market knowledge; innovation management. VN Transportation market knowledge is highly favorable.
Procurement Tactics – Procurement levers (e.g. RFP / RFI management); procurement tactics; communication and decision process
Application of Legal Standards & Policies – Laws and regulations; company rules policies and principles, Procurement policies
Sourcing Strategy & Category Management – Sourcing strategy development; category ownership and management
