Technical Product Engineer

REPORTING TO: Vietnam R&D Head
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Ownership (20%)

Participate in product release planning and provide input on product roadmap from QA and customer feedback perspective
Act as the bridge between customers and development teams to align on requirements and product goals
Support solution delivery to customers, ensuring clear communication of features and value
Define acceptance criteria and support backlog management
Gather, clarify, and prioritize product requirements from stakeholders

Quality Assurance & Testing (70%)

Ensure product quality by validating compliance with customer requirements
Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for software/POS applications/Licensed or SaaS solutions
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases
Work with Project Manager to understand features and establish tests strategy (unit, integration)
Manage release identification and validation within CI/CD pipelines

Technical Support (10%)

Document product- related technical knowledge and troubleshooting guidelines for clients and internal use
Diagnose and troubleshoot NCC- related issues, using Unix command line for investigation and configuration; Perform periodical onsite maintenance
Provide technical support to customers and end- users for POS applications, TMS (Terminal Management System), NCC (Network Communication Controller) and solution- related issue
Follow up with clients to ensure solutions are fully functional after fixes or upgrades
Diagnose and troubleshoot application and system- level issues
Escalate unresolved technical problems to the appropriate internal teams

Key Performance Objectives/Indicators

Effective customer support with timely resolution of solution issues.
Contribution to product backlog quality and release success.
Reliable workload/test effort estimates for project planning.
High- quality, bug- free product releases aligned with customer requirements.

SKILLS/COMPETENCY SPECIFICATION

Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting application/system issues
Knowledge of payment domain (EMV, QR, ISO8583) is a plus
Ability to manage priorities and balance QA, support, and product- related tasks
Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance & Quality Control principles
Basic Unix command line knowledge (mandatory for NCC support)
Hands- on experience in testing mobile applications (especially Android)
Good knowledge of SQL databases, web/host protocols, and encryption methods (preferred)
Strong problem- solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

LANGUAGES:

Basic English communication

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Certifications in QA, Agile/Scrum, or Product Management are a plus
Background knowledge: IT, Android, embedded devices, network, Window/Unix platform
5+ years’ experience in QA/Technical roles, with exposure to customer support and/or product ownership
