This is a pivotal leadership role for a backend and infrastructure- focused technical expert. You’ll drive the design and execution of scalable backend systems and cloud infrastructure, while mentoring engineers, aligning cross- functional teams, and shaping our engineering culture.
Your impact
Backend Architecture & Infrastructure Leadership
Optimize performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across services and environments.
Lead the evolution of Everfit’s cloud infrastructure (AWS, MongoDB + PostgreSQL, Big Data), deployment pipelines, and observability frameworks (Datadog).
Own the architecture of core backend services, APIs, and data systems for scalability, security, and maintainability.
Make foundational decisions on system design, infrastructure tooling, and technical stack direction.
Technical Team Management
Manage hiring plans, team structure, and performance reviews aligned with company goals.
Lead, mentor, and grow a cross- functional engineering team (20+ members) with a strong backend/infrastructure focus.
Set technical vision and development standards to ensure high- quality, sustainable delivery.
Coach engineers on clean architecture, backend best practices, and operational readiness.
Solution Delivery & Execution
Own execution of backend- heavy projects from concept through deployment, while maintaining high availability and system reliability.
Conduct solution design and reviews, and support engineers through architectural decision- making.
Collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to deliver robust, scalable features and backend systems.
Ensure timely delivery of engineering initiatives aligned with product roadmaps.
Strategic Leadership Strategic Leadership
Serve as a core member of Everfit’s Team, contributing to company strategy, planning, and decision- making.
Translate business priorities into scalable engineering initiatives and resourcing plans.
Advocate for infrastructure investment and technical scalability as part of long- term product growth.
Represent Engineering in cross- functional leadership discussions.
