* GENERAL JOB FUNCTION:
- Accountable for all activities in product development of product group from the construction drawing until the detail technical drawing of product in order to deliver a pass product within the right cost and lead- time.
Taking the lead in consolidating all technical documents and communicating to customer.
* RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & AUTHORITIES:

+ Report and escalate critical issues to support/discussion/sharing idea/decision
+ Communicate effectively to TD’s customer (PM, IOC, Sale, Prod Unit) and TD’s groups (PPM, PTP, TDWS, PA team, cushion) for quick problem solving solution & suitable action to keep PFD/ETA’s commitment
+ Launch prototype, follow the tests results and find improvements solutions
+ Study and support Production Units on technical issue and/or improvement of product
+ Understand test standards, customer protocols and quality handbooks to have good construction drawing, agree with Quality about all relevant tests to be done to pass tests
+ Together with related department, review and solve the problem in mass production
+ Implement PDR, technical review TDR, FR review, Risk assessment to ensure quality of product
+ Apply ECO follow ECO procedure
+ Review and approve the CT, TD drawing, ECR and ECO before issuing to related dept./group
- Management job:
+ Develop Technical Engineers to improve their competences in process development, standardization, problem solving, decision making, CAD construction, Quality standard, FMEA, Poka Yoke, production process and communication skill
+ Together with TD planning, develop capacity and agree CT/TD drawing lead time
+ Control and keep ETA’s drawing on time
+ Manage and be responsible for product development, mass product and ECO
+ Lead the team to understand and follow the related SOP:
- SCI- WI- TD- 01 Making Construction & Technical Drawing / interdepartmental numbering procedure.
- SCI- WI- TD- 03 Making Assembly Instruction
- SCVN- PR- TD- 24, FMEA for new product ptocedure.
- PR- TD- 19 Sample / Prototype making procedure.
- SCI- PR- TD- 01 Hardware development procedure.
- SCI- PR- PM- 01 Product development procedure
- SCI- PR- TD- 03 ECO procedure.
- Key Success Factors:
+ Competences and way of working are developed to apply Scancom standards
+ Measure and improve standardization rate for Profiles (alu, wood) steel, HW and Duraboard
+ Share best practices among TD team and other departments
+ Measure, stabilize and improve development Lead- time (status 06 to 38) (existing hardware).
+ Support other groups to develop better products based on material knowledge
+ Improve the first pass rate of prototype to first time accepted by customer & tested (status 15)
+ Products are deliver on time, passed all relevant tests with the target price TPTP.
+ Deliver cost saving saving projects on key top runner
* WORKING RELATIONSHIP
Internal:
- PM, SALES VN/Sales, CDD, M- PPD, W- PPD, QA, PU and Production Units in SCVN.
- Communicate TD- R&D Senior Manager directly on the daily job, the assigned projects and basic report.
External:
- Communicate with customer to propose and agree on design solutions
- Material suppliers if need
- Communicate with CM about the technical drawing
- - Contact hardware supplier for mold design, hardware quotation, order and sample
