Back- end and DevOps Developer (XR Interactive App)
About The Role
We are a small team, building an emotionally intelligent XR application that blends immersive tech with affective AI. We’re looking for a mid- to- senior Back- end Developer with some DevOps experience to build robust backend systems and streamline our DevOps practices to support rapid experimentation and high reliability.
Core Development & Integration
Duties & Responsibilities

Integrate third- party APIs and internal services in a secure and scalable way.
Troubleshoot system issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
Contribute to the technical design and documentation of new solutions.
Participate in the full software development life cycle, from feasibility analysis to implementation and deployment.
Design, implement, and maintain microservices.

DevOps & Infrastructure

Collaboration: Work closely with cross- functional teams to integrate DevOps best practices, streamline deployments, and improve operational resilience.
Performance Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions to optimize system performance and ensure high availability. Familiar with logging and tracking solutions like SigNoz or Grafana.
CI/CD Pipeline Management: Develop, implement, and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
Containerization & Orchestration: Oversee container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure reliable deployment and scaling of microservices.
Infrastructure as Code: Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to manage, provision, and scale production environments efficiently.

IT Duties

System Troubleshooting: Provide support for hardware and software issues affecting development and production environments.
Monitoring & Maintenance: Assist in the monitoring of system health, coordinating with IT support to minimize downtime.
Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to IT policies and security guidelines across server operations and data management.
Infrastructure & Support: Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the proper configuration, maintenance, and security of internal systems and networks.

Qualifications & Skills

Development Practices: Test- driven development (TDD) and domain- driven design (DDD)
Programming Languages: Python, Go, C, JavaScript, SQL, TypeScript, Unix Shell
Self- driven and proactive mindset
Cloud Providers: AWS, Google Cloud
Database Technologies: Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis. Experience with columnar database (Snowflake, Clickhouse) is a plus.
CI/CD & Tooling: Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
Containerization: Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes
Ability to balance technical quality with pragmatic delivery
Minimum 5 years of working experience.
Workflow: Experience with Agile development (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
API Frameworks: Experience with REST & RPC API frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Protocol Buffer)
Clear communication, especially in async and remote settings

Nice To Have

Working experiences with Unity, C are a strong plus.
Familiar with CI/CD shipping Android and IOS Applications from Unity

Devices: Apple Vision Pro and other VR/XR headsets
