Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

Lead the design, implementation and management of server, storage, and cloud infrastructure solutions, including:
Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory;
Server Technologies: Windows Server, Linux- based servers, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper- V;
Storage Solutions: SAN, NAS, DAS;
Backup & Disaster Recovery.
Complete technical training and certification as required.
Apply structured implementation methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope;
Documentation and reporting as required;
Monitor operations and performance related to servers and storage systems to diagnose problems and develop a reliable server platform;
Travelling as required.
Address response time problems and implement corrective actions;
Act as a senior escalation point for technical issues across client engagements and project delivery;
Collaborate with the Sales department during the presales process by designing solutions aligned to client requirements.
Provide mentorship and technical leadership to Service Desk and engineering team;
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across service delivery, systems, and processes;

Requirements & Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years’ of experience supporting infrastructure servers, cloud environments and networks;
Strong experience working with technology vendors, including Microsoft, VMware, AWS and Cisco;
Proven experience with server and storage solutions, including:
Cloud Infrastructure Solutions (Microsoft Azure, AWS);
Microsoft SQL Server environments;
Storage: SAN, NAS, DAS;
Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory;
Backup & Disaster Recovery.
Virtualization: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper- V;
Azure and Microsoft 365 Security Frameworks;
General knowledge of Networking and Routing (Firewall, Routers and Switch configuration);
Must hold one or more of the following industry certifications:
Microsoft: MCSA, MCSE or Azure certification;
AWS: Solutions Architect, Security Specialty;
VMware: VCP, VCAP.
Microsoft InTune- Endpoint Manager;
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related ICT discipline;
