Senior Software Engineer ( Java )

Cốc Cốc Search — is integrated in the Cốc Cốc Browser, optimizing search results for the Vietnamese language, helping users find more accurate information conveniently.
Cốc Cốc Search is constantly investing to leverage the latest technologies in hardware, software and artificial intelligence to deliver the best search experience to users. There are only few countries in the world who have local search engines able to compete against global players. Vietnam with Cốc Cốc is one of those rare countries.
We are seeking talent Senior Software Engineer who has broad skills of technical knowledge and is ready for interesting challenges. As being part of our team, you will help to build our search engine that serves millions of search requests and provide meaningful features.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze and improve our algorithms and machine learning models to increase the quality of Cốc Cốc Search.
Work closely with Product and Project Managers to prioritize and implement new search features that are most relevant to Vietnamese users
Apply the latest technologies to improve the core components of Coc Coc Search Engine (crawler, indexer, searcher)
Work on solutions together with our Infrastructure and Data engineering teams to manage huge amount of data efficiently (billions of documents to collect, process and store)

Required skills:

Strong coding capability with C++ or Java and Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, architecture, and object- oriented design).
Designing/developing with large- scale distributed
Master&039;s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial intelligence or PhD will be an advantage.
Experience with designing/developing Linux/Unix environments.
Strong proficiency with backend development, service- oriented architecture technology, SQL and NoSQL datastore.
Good written and spoken English.

Nice- to have skills:

Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced
Deep domain expertise with search engines such as Elasticsearch, Solr, or
Machine learning background is
Aware of the value of great teams and do what you can to help create amazing high performing
An experience with cloud- based infrastructure and technology solution stack and services, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elastic Compute (EC2) instances, S3 static storage, etc.
