POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with B2B clients in the food ingredients and flavor distribution sector. The role requires a strong understanding of product applications and technical standards, market trends, and customer production processes. This position will drive revenue growth, identify new business opportunities, and provide technical- commercial solutions tailored to customer needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product and Technical Understanding
· Gain in- depth knowledge of the technical specifications, applications, and origins of the company’s ingredients and flavors through internal training, supplier collaboration, and industry resources
· Leverage technical expertise to provide tailored solutions that align with customers’ production processes and requirements
· Understand how ingredients are applied in customer production lines, including manufacturing processes and technologies used.
Customer Management and Business Development
· Manage assigned customer portfolio: classify customers by potential, focus on key accounts for development.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with customers’ technical and purchasing teams. Regularly engage with clients to follow up on contracts, purchasing plans, and new requirements. Address customer technical issues and propose tailored solutions using SIM’s ingredients and technical services.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned industry segment; propose samples, build trust, and generate project pipelines.
Sales Planning and Execution
· Conduct market surveys on pricing and customer demand for new products.
· Coordinate with Sales Manager to propose price, quantity, lead time, and negotiate to secure orders.
· Develop and implement sales plans, set revenue goals and growth strategies for each customer in line with the Company&039;s growth strategy and supplier / ingredients portfolio.
· Proactively identify customer needs, market demand, and initiate new product development requests.
· Introduce new products, ingredients, and supplier technologies to customers.
Risk Management and Internal Coordination
· Proactively identify and report issues related to product quality, payment delays, or delivery challenges, coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution
· Work directly with suppliers to clarify specifications, documentation, or quotations.
· Report immediately to Sales Manager in case of business risks and suggest effective solutions.
· Anticipate potential business risks and propose preventive measures to minimize disruptions
· Collaborate with Sales Admin, Procurement, and Warehouse to handle customer complaints.
· Communicate fluently in English (spoken and written) to report project pipelines, share market insights, and align account development strategies directly with suppliers.
Reporting and Compliance
· Ensure compliance with internal sales processes, documentation, and ERP updates.
· Complete and take full responsibility for all required reports: Forecast, project pipeline, and other sales- related reports as required by the company.
Other Tasks
· Support relationship- building activities with customers: holiday gifting (Mid- Autumn, Tet, etc.) and special occasions.
· Continuously monitor competitor activity, pricing, and customer feedback to support strategic decisions.
