Position Overview

Lead the conceptualization, design, and prototyping of intricate mechanical systems for robotic collectible figures, transforming creative visions into robust, manufacturable solutions.
Conduct thorough mechanical analysis (e.g., stress, tolerance, fatigue) and validation testing to ensure product reliability and durability.
Design, develop, and rigorously test advanced actuation systems, including custom servo motors, precise gearboxes, and sophisticated control mechanisms.
Drive design optimization for mass production, focusing on manufacturability (DFM), cost- efficiency, and scalability while maintaining high- quality standards.
Collaborate cross- functionally with Electrical, Software, and AI Engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with embedded electronics and intelligent control algorithms.
Research and evaluate new materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies to continuously innovate product capabilities.

Qualifications

Robust knowledge of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, die casting, sheet metal fabrication) and advanced materials selection for consumer products.
Deep understanding and practical experience with small- scale servo motors, stepper motors, linear actuators, a wide range of sensors, miniature gearboxes, and closed- loop control systems.
Expert proficiency in industry- standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion 360, PTC Creo); ability to create detailed assembly drawings and BOMs.
Bachelor&039;s or Master&039;s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Minimum of 3+ years of demonstrable experience in designing and developing complex mechanical systems for consumer robotics, animatronics, interactive toys, or high- precision electromechanical products.
Extensive hands- on experience with rapid prototyping methodologies (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining), precision assembly, and DFM (Design for Manufacturability).

Preferred Skills

Specialized expertise in designing and optimizing miniature mechanical systems and micro- actuators for compact, high- performance applications.
Proven track record in developing and launching interactive consumer products, animatronics, or advanced robotic systems from concept to production.
Portfolio showcasing previous mechanical design projects.
Understanding of basic control theory and embedded programming (e.g., C++, Python) for robotics applications.
Experience with simulation tools (e.g., FEA, Kinematics analysis) for mechanical design validation.
