A Brief Overview
The candidate would be able to demonstrate execution of all project management disciplines, including but not limited to project prioritization, risk management, planning, resource management, budgeting and financial management, business case development, change management and value realization. Collaborates with cross- functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to deliver high- quality solutions that align with the company&039;s strategic objectives.
The project is expected to be of approximately 2 years&039; duration. The project is a transformation initiative to redesign the way almost 3.000 professional staff deliver services to our global customers. Critical to the success of the program will be a demonstrated ability to work in parallel andin collaboration with the Change manager for the program we are delivering. These two personnel are critical to a successful program deployment, management of the customer experience as well as adoption by customer and internal operations delivery teams.
Partnership and collaboration with global IT teams will be needed to be successful in the role.
The Senior Project Manager manages large and complex projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. For this role, the project manager will be a delivery- focused professional with recognized industry qualifications and certifications. Importantly, we are looking for someone who has deployed business solutions on the Service Now platform. Applicants with experience in delivering solutions on the Salesforce platform are also considered; however, preference will be given to applicants with ServiceNow experience.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution (35%)
- Develop project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestone payments, and timelines;
- Create comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation and budgeting;
- Choose and execute appropriate project methodologies with limited supervision;
- Collaborate with the Project Change Manager to maximize new system adoption uptake.
Team Leadership (15%)
- Be flexible to run meetings as needed to support project outcomes in either Vietnam or US time zones.
- Lead and motivate large project teams across multiple departments, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities;
- Foster collaboration and effective communication among team members;
- Deliver within and across functional matrix structures. Some team resources are local in Vietnam; others are situated in the parent company in USA (Chesterville);
Stakeholder and Vendor Management (25%)
- Identify and engage project stakeholders, including internal departments and external vendors;
- Have managed external vendors to deliver project outcomes via SoWs (Statement of Work) and been involved in the construction of SoWs that define the work to be delivered;
- Maintain strong relationships and manage expectations. Oversee vendor relationships and contracts. Ensure vendors meet performance and delivery expectations.
Governance and Risk Management (10%)
- Be comfortable in exercising project governance via structured Project Change Control disciplines;
- Demonstrate risk management as applied to key dimensions of project scope, time, and cost;
- Anticipate project challenges and proactively develop and execute mitigation plans.
- Monitor and manage issues to ensure they are resolved promptly;
- Present the project to Sponsor and Stakeholder Steering Committees as part of business governance for project updates, obstacle resolution, and recommendations concerning unplanned project events.
- Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation plans;
Quality Assurance (5%)
- Conduct regular quality assessments and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure project deliverables meet defined SoW metrics and adhere to best practices;
Technical Proficiency (5%)
- Full SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) experience as it relates to packaged solutions and their customization, and the use of development platforms provided by the ServiceNow suite, e.g., SN AppEngin.;
- Understand the role of system interfaces and APIs (Application Programming Interface) in an enterprise- wide context, as well as how they relate to a project’s design.
Mentorship and Development (5%)
- Model a set of professional behaviors that uplift their capability beyond the basics.
- Mentor, coach, and develop more junior project management staff in key areas of project management;
