Senior PHP Developer

Beyond coding, this position involves technical leadership, mentoring, and continuous improvement in software engineering practices for the team
The Senior Software Developer plays a critical role in driving the design, development, and implementation of enterprise systems that support Dai- ichi Life Vietnam’s digital transformation strategy. This role combines deep technical expertise, architectural thinking, and a hands- on approach to building secure, scalable, and high- performance software solutions.The developer is expected to work closely with cross- functional teams — including Business Analysts, QA Engineers, Architects, and Product Manager, Business User — to deliver reliable systems aligned with business objectives.

Support the team leader on technical analysis to provide the best technical solution as well as support colleagues for solving technical issues to complete the assigned projects / tasks on timely manner.
Investigate and answer daily enquiries on systems functional as well as problem encountered in order to resolve it in timely manner.
Analyze the business specs then prepare technical specs and develop the new systems or enhance existing system for supporting business needs.
In charge of unit test on enhancements / new development under responsibility to ensure developed modules are matched with business requirements.
Assist users/team leader on building test scripts to cover all test cases.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Frontend Proficiency: Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, AJAX, and JSON.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in PHP programming, specifically with Laravel and Moodle frameworks. Experience of working with common PHP CMS such as Drupal, Joomla, WordPress…
Database Skills: Strong understanding of database architecture and performance tuning using MySQL, MariaDB, and MSSQL.
JavaScript Frameworks: Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React JS, Redux, Angular, and Vue is a plus.
Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA, AZURE DEVOPS
Linux Environment: Experience working in a Linux environment.
Version Control: Experience with version control systems such as GitHub, SVN, and SourceSafe.
