Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes Engineer to support development teams and lead the configuration of production- grade container orchestration solutions. This role focuses heavily on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and requires hands- on expertise with advanced Kubernetes tooling and practices, including Helm, Istio Service Mesh, eBPF, Prometheus, Grafana, and multi- cluster management and disaster recovery (DR).
Core Responsibilities

Configure and maintain Istio Service Mesh for traffic routing, security, and observability.
Develop and implement disaster recovery (DR) strategies for Kubernetes workloads.
Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters with a focus on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Implement and manage Helm charts for application packaging and deployment.
Utilize eBPF for advanced observability, networking, and performance tuning.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Support development teams in containerizing applications and optimizing deployment pipelines.
Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus and Grafana.
Collaborate with DevOps, security, and development teams to ensure best practices in container orchestration.
Architect and manage multi- cluster Kubernetes environments, ensuring scalability and high availability.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience, focusing on Azure Kubernetes
Proficiency with Helm, Istio, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including multi- cluster management and DR planning.
Strong hands- on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
Experience with eBPF for observability and performance optimization.
Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
Proven experience in container orchestration and cloud- native infrastructure.

Technical Skills

Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS EKS, GCP GKE).
Knowledge of security best practices in Kubernetes environments.
Certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer).
Familiarity with service mesh alternatives (e.g., Linkerd).
