Senior Fullstack Software Engineer React, Go/PHP

We&039;re seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our engineering team and drive end- to- end development of our vehicle inspection platform. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Pave.ai, you&039;ll architect scalable backend services while crafting responsive, intuitive user interfaces that deliver exceptional experiences. You&039;ll work across the entire technology stack to build features that process millions of vehicle inspections, from designing APIs and data models to implementing pixel- perfect UIs that delight dealerships, fleet operators, insurers, and vehicle marketplaces globally.

Design and implement complete features from database to UI, ensuring seamless integration across all layers
Ensure consistent user experience across different platforms and devices
Implement real- time features using WebSockets for live vehicle inspection updates
Architect RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints that power web applications
Build scalable backend services and create responsive frontend applications with modern JavaScript frameworks

Optimize frontend performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth interactions
Implement and maintain component documentation using Storybook
Leverage Tailwind CSS and modern CSS methodologies for consistent, performant styling
Build reusable component libraries using React.js with TypeScript, ensuring framework- agnostic design principles
Ensure WCAG compliance and accessibility standards across all user interfaces
Collaborate closely with UI/UX teams to translate high- fidelity designs into pixel- perfect, maintainable code

Build robust data pipelines for processing vehicle inspection images and metadata
Implement event- driven architectures using message queuing systems
Integrate AI/ML models for computer vision and automated inspection analysis
Design efficient database schemas and optimize queries for both SQL and NoSQL databases
Ensure API security, rate limiting, and proper authentication/authorization
Design and develop scalable backend services using modern server- side technologies

Lead architectural decisions spanning frontend and backend systems
Mentor junior developers on full- stack best practices and code quality
Collaborate with product owners to define technical requirements and feasibility
Conduct thorough code reviews across the entire technology stack
Champion engineering excellence and establish coding standards
Drive technical documentation and knowledge sharing initiatives

Ensure high availability and fault tolerance across all services
Monitor application performance and implement observability solutions
Implement comprehensive testing strategies including unit, integration, and E2E tests
Set up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
Implement security best practices throughout the stack

Experience

• 5+ years of fullstack development experience
• 3+ years of backend development in production environments
• 3+ years of modern frontend framework experience (React, Vue, or Angular)
• Proven track record of delivering complex features end- to- end
• Experience with B2B SaaS platforms and enterprise applications

Technical Skills

Backend Proficiency:

Understanding of cloud services and serverless architectures
SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases
Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong expertise in at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Go, C, PHP)
Message queuing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
RESTful API design and GraphQL implementation
Microservices architecture and distributed systems

Frontend Mastery:

Frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite) and testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
Experience with Storybook or similar component documentation tools
Proficiency in React.js (hooks, context, state management)
Expert- level JavaScript/TypeScript skills
CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS preferred, or Sass/LESS)
