[Remote] Partnership Manager - MICE industry
Mô tả công việc
The Business Development Manager (Vietnam) is a commercially driven relationship builder responsible for growing the company’s venue partnership network across Vietnam. This role sits at the intersection of hospitality partnerships, commercial negotiation, and event production, requiring someone who understands both the MICE/commercial landscape in Vietnam and the operational realities of hotel/event partners.
Reporting directly to the Regional Director, Strategic Partnerships & Growth (APAC), the BD Manager will focus on new venue acquisition, partnership activation, and commercial pipeline development across key Vietnam markets, and expansion into other major MICE destinations over time.
Client: Our client is a Singapore- headquartered event services company specializing in 360- degree event solutions. With a strong reputation for delivering award- winning event experiences, they provide end- to- end services – from strategy, planning, and creative design to flawless execution – ensuring every event is impactful, innovative, and memorable.
🔧 Your responsibilities:
- Build and manage a structured business development pipeline, from initial outreach to signed partnership and first revenue- generating event.
- Support commercial discussions around budgets, pricing, proposal structuring, and contract negotiations with venue partners and clients.
- Identify, approach, and develop new venue partnership opportunities across Ho Chi Minh City, and gradually expand to other Vietnam MICE destinations such as Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, etc.
- Negotiate and close venue partnership agreements in line with UPGroup Asia’s commercial model and partnership framework.
- Identify opportunities related to corporate events, conferences, incentives, brand activations, and venue- based event production partnerships.
- Gather and report market and competitor intelligence, especially around venue relationships, embedded AV/event partners, and new commercial opportunities.
- Provide weekly pipeline updates and commercial progress reports to the Regional Director, and contribute to regional reporting and planning.
- Work closely with internal commercial and operations teams to ensure newly signed venue partners are properly activated and generating revenue within agreed timelines.
- Conduct site visits, venue presentations, and showcase sessions to introduce UPGroup Asia’s event production and event solutions capabilities to hotel and venue decision- makers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with General Managers, Directors of Sales, Directors of Events/MICE, and ownership- level stakeholders at target hotels and venues.
- Represent UPGroup Asia at industry events, trade shows, hospitality networking events, and MICE- related gatherings in Vietnam.
🎯 What we’re looking for:
- Good English communication skills, able to work with regional stakeholders and conduct business conversations professionally
- Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot is a plus) and managing a structured sales pipeline
- Willingness to travel within Vietnam for venue meetings / site visits, and occasionally to Singapore / regional markets if needed
- Comfortable working independently in a remote / regional setup, with strong ownership and reporting discipline
- Proven track record in business development / hunting sales / partnership acquisition, not just account servicing
- Strong existing network within Vietnam’s hotel / venue / hospitality / MICE ecosystem
- Good understanding of how hotels and venues generate revenue from events, and what influences their decisions when selecting or changing event / production partners
- Familiarity with event production / MICE / venue operations terminology is a strong advantage
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and convert them into revenue
- 4–6+ years of commercial experience in hospitality, MICE, events, tourism, venue partnerships, event production, or related industries
- Confident in engaging and negotiating with senior stakeholders such as GMs, DOSMs, Event Directors, venue owners, or commercial heads
