Relationship Manager (AVP) – Non-Japanese Corporate Banking Department

Scope and Dimension:
- Assist Team Lead and Head of Department for assigned projects.
- Being an advocate assisting Team Lead in maximizing Transaction Banking (TB) wallet shares from existing customers and assisting other RMs from a specialist perspective relating to TB solutions.
- Responsible for origination and building out a client portfolio for both corporate and financial institution clients, focusing on attracting deposits and selling liquidity products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with KYC/AML Team to obtain necessary legal documents from clients, ensure timely completion of Know- Your- Customer (KYC).
- Manage risks associated to the businesses: KYC, Operation. Regulatory & compliance matters.
- Prepare and execute a marketing plan to increase the level of deposits and transaction banking products undertaken by SMBC.
- Proactively participate in preparing, building, implementing the team’s strategy.
- Assist to manage client relationship and attend to client’s enquiries, ensure those being responded timely & professionally and in line with the Bank’s service standards and policies.
- Proactive in identifying client’s needs, consulting and providing necessary support and actions.
- Ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently with a high level of client satisfaction.
- Work in close alignment with Global/Regional Relationship Management team and relevant products partners from build to execution/implementation processes of transaction banking products.
Other Tasks:
- Attend to other administrative tasks, business reports, managerial preparation and any other specific projects/ tasks as to be assigned by Team Lead and Head of Department from time to time.
- Administer all work and ensure compliance to all guidelines & procedures.
