Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Engineer to join our team and drive innovation in power generator technology and energy solutions. This role involves designing, testing, and improving power generation systems, including alternators, engines, and control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem- solving skills, a passion for engineering, and the ability to collaborate with cross- functional teams to develop cutting- edge solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Innovation
Research and develop new generator designs, alternator technologies, and hybrid power systems to enhance performance and efficiency.
Evaluate and integrate new materials, components, and technologies to improve reliability and sustainability.
Work on energy smart systems, energy storage and hybrid solutions (e.g., IoT system, solar- diesel hybrid, battery backup systems) to align with industry trends.
Design & Engineering
Perform mechanical, electrical, and thermal simulations for power generation systems.
Design and optimize components such as stator windings, rotor balancing, cooling systems, and fuel efficiency improvements.
Develop CAD models, electrical schematics, and technical drawings for prototyping and production.
Testing & Validation
Conduct performance tests, durability analysis, and failure investigations of generators and components.
Define test procedures and ensure compliance with customers’ requirements, and/ or industry standards.
Work with the Quality and Production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and optimize production processes.
Project Management & Collaboration
Manage R&D projects from concept to production, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
Collaborate with cross- functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Manufacturing) to implement new solutions.
Engage with key suppliers and partners to explore emerging technologies.
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare technical reports, test results, and design documentation.
Ensure products meet safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
