Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans
Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation
Communicate with clients via phone/ direct meet / site visit the mortgage or customer&039;s addresses either to request or to provide or to verify information and assess the customer credit worthiness and background.
Build trust relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction throughout the underwriting process
Assess customer needs, explore all options and introduce different types of loans to develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels and cross- sell products and services
Determine all applicable ratios and metrics and set up debt payment plans
Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions
Update job knowledge on types of loans and other financial services
Οperate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines

Good interpersonal and communication skills in English
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
Proven working experience as a Loan Officer
Excellent communication, customer- service, and time- management skills
Ability to pass a background check
Good math and computer skills
Highly detail- oriented, with a strong work ethic, strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency, high responsibility in teamwork
Solid understanding of lending products and practices
High self- motivated and committed
Comprehensive understanding of lending regulations
