QC Team Lead

Responsibilities and Duties:

Manage defects: triage, prioritize by impact, communicate risks, and track trends;
Review requirements and designs early, providing feedback to de- risk delivery;
Recommend tools/frameworks to improve coverage, velocity, and reliability;
Mentor QA/QC engineers and foster a quality- first culture across squads;
Establish best practices in test design, reporting, and defect management; standardize templates and environments;
Contribute to automation frameworks (web, mobile, backend) and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Lead exploratory testing and bug bashes to uncover risks beyond scripted coverage;
Design, review, and maintain manual test cases mapped to business and technical requirements; ensure full traceability;
Collaborate with PM/PO and Engineering to define acceptance criteria, testability, and quality gates in Agile/Scrum;
Own quality strategy and release readiness across functional, regression, performance, and integration testing;

Qualifications and Skills:
Must to Have

Excellent problem- solving, analytical, and communication skills;
Solid knowledge of Agile/Scrum and incremental delivery practices;
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
4- 6 years of QA/QC experience with proven leadership in product teams;
Strong expertise in manual testing, test design techniques, API testing, and database validation (SQL, MongoDB);
Proven ability to mentor, influence, and align cross- functional teams around quality goals.
Proficiency with QA tools (Postman, Jira, TestRail or equivalents);

Nice to have

Automation with Java/JavaScript/Python; familiarity with WebDriver/Selenium, Playwright/Cypress, or mobile stacks;
CI/CD exposure (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and shift- left practices;
Certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are an advantage.
