QA Specialist

JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for evaluating, approving, and managing suppliers of raw materials and packaging to ensure compliance with CJ Vietnam standards, food safety regulations, and customer requirements; contributing to stable input material quality and risk prevention.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supplier Selection & Audit

Conduct evaluation and selection audits for new suppliers of:
Packaging
Raw materials
Seafood, livestock, agricultural products
Perform emergency supplier evaluation when required to prevent quality or food safety risks.
Transfer evaluation results, approval status, and corrective action plans (CAP) to Purchasing Department.
Maintain records and updated lists of approved suppliers and raw materials.
Develop, maintain, and implement supplier evaluation standards, procedures, and criteria.

Raw Material Standardization

Collect, manage, and synthesize information, specifications, and images of raw materials.
Establish and manage:
Microbiological standards
Physicochemical standards (based on Lab results)
Physical standards
Sensory standards
Prepare draft standards and coordinate with related departments for review and agreement.
Execute E- approval process and officially issue material standards.

Supplier Management & Improvement

Perform competency assessments for new suppliers and trading providers.
Plan and conduct periodic supplier assessments.
Manage and evaluate supplier capacity and performance.
Build and maintain vendor evaluation criteria.
Coordinate with Purchasing to work with suppliers on:
Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Quality improvement activities
Handle non- conformance cases of incoming materials.
Manage, update, and archive supplier documentation and profiles.
Manage records related to material receiving and inspection.
Support R&D in developing and updating input material standards.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in:
Quality Management
Food Technology
Biotechnology
Chemical Technology
Certificates preferred:
Quality Control / Quality Assurance
HACCP
FSSC 22000
BRC
7 QC Tools
Halal

Expertise & Experience

Minimum 02 years of experience in a similar QA / Supplier Management position.
Strong written and spoken English.
Familiar with:
Supplier audit and evaluation
Food safety management systems
Stakeholder engagement and cross- functional coordination
Training programs and needs analysis

Soft Skills

High self- motivation and responsibility.
Good team player.

Strong communication and problem- solving skills.
